Lain is from a world very similar to the world of 'Dark Fall'. In her
world, she helps her father rescue the Trinity form their various
circumstances while they're in their late teens to early twenties.
Lain
is in charge of 'raising' the boys, helping them to adjust to the
'outside' world as well as to the change once it hits them. Once the
Trinity is complete and her father controls the girls as well as their
Guardians, Lain leaves, using research technology from one of her
father's labs and her pet projects and 'collects' a team of 'unique'
talents.
Krista 'Tiger' Langley Turnbul ; Tiger-shifter / dimension traveller

Tiger's home world is unknown since her ability to alter portals has
lead her through several different dimensions without any form of
control over her destination. When she is 'discovered' by Lain's people
she becomes the subject of a research project and her abilities are
mapped and tested. When Lain 'rescues' her from the lab, they join
forces and set up shop in a pocket dimension Lain has access to through
Ter Nah Nog. Tiger marries fellow 'guinea pig' Brice 'Bull' Turnbul and
they combine their abilities with each other and with the research form
the Lab to help create the 'jumpers' ... small devices that mimic
Tigers ability to alter a portal into a dimensional gate only with the
added ability to control it's destination.
Tamara MacDonnell ; Hex - witch-faerie / human
age ; 22 yrs

; Tam's world is very similar to the world of
"LoopHoles' ... the only differences being that her father is Guardian
and Husband to Larkin rather than Lexine... and Nate's power's weren't
bound as a infant, just his appearance so the human side won out. This
meant that Tam's abilities weren't hampered and she was able to grow
into her abilities fully without too many ill effects.
Tam was
brought into the 'team' by Lain when she learned that Tam could not
only cause spells to go wrong or fail completely as she willed, but
that she could have the same effect on any type of magic, as well as
the person behind the magic. She can either surpress a persons'
abilities or enhance them for a limited time.
Dante Macrory aka Elessar Arcamenel ; demon/faerie

Dante's home world is a bit darker then the main world. During Kay's
time traveling with Faal in the beginning of their relationship, she
becomes pregnant with Dante. She raises him alone as she comes to terms
with her demon heritage and her fae heritage, all of which comes to the
fore with her pregnancy. she winds up spending the first few years of
Dante's living between Hell and the UnSeelie Court ( the Seelie Court
where her faerie bloodline originates refuses to accept those with
demon blood ), then she continues on with her bounty hunter training
with young Dante in tow. Dante grew up accepting both his demon
heritage and faerie heritage, keeping company with bounty hunters,
mercenaries and various half-blood 'monsters'.
Undergoing a 'test' from his grandfather,
Dante succeeds and receives his sword... and achieves his full demon
form... something his mother has never achieved. By coming into his
full powers, Dante became a 'Full Demon'... and thus became more
susceptible to holy ground and other such weaknesses. However, he is
still in possession of a soul, thanks to his half blood status and so
isn't confined to Hell or as limited as full BLOOD demons.

himself 'accidentally' swept into an alter dimension and agrees to
being recruited into the team rather than return to his home world.
Apparently his sole reason behind joining the team was so that he can
be close to Tamara.

Accidentally binding her soul to
Dante after falling for him, Winter must join the team and be with him
or risk death at the separation.
Brice 'Bull' Turnbul (Aerandir Demon/ Human )
Brice
is from the same world that Tiger spent time in the lab. When Tiger
told him she was leaving to work with Lain, he went with her. Together
the three of them are the driving force behind the team. In this world,
Brice has a good deal more control and knowledge behind his abilities
and in addition to his own portals, he has learned how to force closed
someone else's portals or rifts; as well as force them to stay open. He
can also track portal/rift use and in some cases identify who opened it.
He
can also see through glamours and most disguise spells, especially demon
& fae ; has healing abilities that work very well on humans and
most half bloods, but not so well on demons or fae. Extended dimension
travel effects him badly and the longer he's away from his home world
the worse he becomes. He can live at the base since it's in a pocket
dimension within his own world, but still must spend time outside every
so often.
